Original Designs by Kathy Bushart
Courtly Quilter, owned by Kathy Bushart, is all about whimsy, bringing playful and imaginative designs to everyday items. This collection features charming holiday themes, gnomes, fairies, animals, landscapes, and inventive combinations that merge sewing and quilting motifs with other themes. These delightful designs appear on fabric blocks, mugs, tumblers, magnetic pin dishes, plates, ornaments, mouse pads, and more.
Kathy, an avid quilter, finds joy in designing and making quilts and quilting them with her longarm quilting machine. In addition to her textile creations, she also enjoys working with ceramics, adding her signature whimsical touch to each piece.

About Ceramic Products
One of two processes is used to affix the designs onto the ceramic item.
Kiln Fired — The motif design decal and text decal are affixed onto the mug. During the firing process at a very high temperature, the decal sinks into the glaze. This makes the design permanent, food safe, oven safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe. (photo)
Sublimation Heat Press – The decal is pressed onto the item using a high temperature for a prescribed length of time depending on the type of material, whether it is ceramic, metal, cloth, or other material. It is recommended to hand wash these items, however Kathy has found that the sublimation heat press ceramic mugs haven’t been affected by washing in the dishwasher.
About Fabric Printed Blocks
Designs are printed on 100% prepared for dyeing cotton fabric. Block sheets are 10” x 11.6”. Printing uses permanent dyes to ensure long-lasting color. The fabric is fully washable—simply wash as you would a quilt in warm water, and dry on low heat, or tumble dry on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, then, lay the item out to air dry. This process helps maintain the integrity and vibrancy of the printed designs.
Using Courtly Quilter Printed Fabric Blocks
